About this opportunity

The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development (KDD) announces up to 8.7 million NOK in grants for 2026 to develop competence, tools and good examples within planning, mapping and geodata. The initiatives must contribute to increased efficiency and quality in local planning under the Planning and Building Act. The grants support projects that develop and communicate good working methods, tools and examples related to planning, either in the legal area, the technical area, or to promote good models for process and collaboration. Priority areas for 2026 include: strengthening knowledge base for housing needs analysis, developing methods to map and utilize grey areas, contributing to more efficient planning processes, and supporting implementation of digital tools in planning. The grants are one-year awards intended to benefit participants in planning processes including citizens, decision-makers, planners, organizations and businesses.
