About this opportunity
The Krishnan-Ang Studentship supports outstanding overseas postgraduate students undertaking a PhD in any STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) discipline at the University of Cambridge. In 2026, two Studentships will be awarded. The studentship funds overseas fees and maintenance for the duration of the PhD course.
The award provides £65,000 annually, covering international student fees, living maintenance, student visa costs, and the student immigration health surcharge. Successful applicants will also receive a Research Emolument of £500 per annum for three years, as well as the cost of a return ticket from the country of origin to the United Kingdom.
These Studentships are funded by generous donations from Eashwar Viswanathan Krishnan and Tzo Tze Ang, both Trinity College alumni who studied Natural Sciences and Electrical & Information Sciences respectively. Recipients must be willing to be affiliated with Trinity College and may be contacted during their course to provide progress updates for reporting to the donors.
