About this opportunity
The Kuiper-Overpelt Study Fund is a scholarship programme for talented students from developing countries who wish to follow the Master of Laws Advanced Studies programme in International Children's Rights at Leiden University. The fund is specifically designed to enable students from developing countries to study at Leiden University and subsequently participate constructively in the civil society, the government or the development of their country of origin. The scholarship amounts to €20,000, which covers most of the tuition fee of €22,300 for the one-year programme. Applicants must be nationals of countries with medium or low ranking on the HDI Index and lack the financial means to follow the study programme without the assistance of a scholarship. Recipients must have the firm intention of returning to their home country after graduation to bring into practice the knowledge obtained during the programme in order to improve the implementation of international children's rights in their home country.
