Kulturhusmillionen

Kulturhusmillionen is a subsidy program established by Arendal city council that allocates one million Norwegian kroner annually to support local cultural organizers using the cultural center. The program subsidizes 50% of rental costs at the cultural center, including sound, lighting, and necessary technical personnel from the cultural center. Local clubs, associations, cultural institutions, and similar organizations are eligible for this support. The subsidy does not apply to conferences, business initiatives, or private events. The reduced rental rate is arranged directly with the cultural center at the time of booking, and applicants do not need to submit a formal application to the municipality. The cultural center invoices 50% of rental costs to the organizer and 50% to the municipality.
