Kulturstipendier

Sparbanksstiftelsen Kronan and Swedbank together offer annual cultural scholarships from 2024 to 2026 to support practitioners of culture in the foundation's operating area. Up to 600,000 SEK can be distributed annually to talented individuals or groups with their own artistic expression. The scholarships aim to contribute to and develop cultural life in the regions of Kalmar County, Blekinge County, Kronoberg County, and Halmstad municipality. Applications are open to various art forms including dance, literature, visual and design arts, theater, film, music, and digital media. A jury consisting of two representatives from the foundation's board and persons with experience and competencies from different art forms selects the recipients. The scholarship amount is either 50,000 SEK or 100,000 SEK, determined by the jury. Applicants must be particularly talented with their own expression within their art form, have documentation of merit through education, publications, competitions, or performances on established platforms, and must live or work in the foundation's operating area covering 16 municipalities in southern Sweden.
