Kupe Leadership Scholarship

The Kupe Leadership Scholarship offers a transformational opportunity of personal development and growth alongside Honours, Masters, or Postgraduate Diploma study, for students who care deeply about Aotearoa New Zealand, want to make an impact and create a brighter future. The scholarship provides a bespoke leadership programme, a personal mentor, a leadership speaker series, and financial support including either a stipend of $22,000 or a $10,000 stipend plus on-campus accommodation, along with compulsory tuition fees for Semester One and Two. The Kupe Leadership Programme will offer a unique experience that each year will develop a cohort of future leaders who are committed to Aotearoa New Zealand and who will help envision and create a dynamic, creative and successful future for this country. Students will gain competency to understand and include diverse people and perspectives. The programme draws on the legend of the great Pacific explorer, Kupe, and utilizes research-informed models for leadership development, delivered in an experiential format including live case studies and practical exercises.
