About this opportunity
The KWARKE Employment Award was established in 2020 by Rebekah Warkentin and Erwin Warkentin to support full-time students at Lakeland College's Vermilion campus. This award is designed for students who demonstrate both academic excellence and strong engagement beyond the classroom. Eligible students must be enrolled in the second or subsequent year of any program and show either active involvement in student-managed or student-led campus initiatives, or demonstrate responsibility through part-time employment of at least 15 hours per week while maintaining their studies. The award recognizes students who successfully balance academic achievement with meaningful involvement in campus life or work commitments, and who are expected to graduate on time. The award provides $1,000 to one continuing student annually.
