KWS Scholarship (includes one year work placement)

The KWS UK Scholarship is a competitive award open to all 2nd year BSc or 1st year FdSc students studying Agriculture at Harper Adams University who are interested in learning more about a career in plant breeding. The scholarship provides financial support and valuable industry experience through an integrated work placement with KWS UK. The successful scholarship recipient will receive a payment of £2,500 in the academic year awarded and employment with KWS UK during their placement year. Subject to a review at the end of the placement, there may be an opportunity for further funding in the scholar's final academic year. A key condition of the scholarship is that recipients must undertake their placement year with KWS UK, the sponsoring firm. The award is evaluated on the merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date, and interview performance. The scholarship payment is distributed in two equal installments, with half paid in February 2026 and the remaining balance in May 2026.
