The La Médaille d'Or Marie-Louise Brugeyroux is awarded to a student convocating with a Bachelor of Education degree at Campus Saint-Jean who has shown the highest general proficiency in their coursework and field experiences. This award has been annually funded by The Alberta Teachers' Association since 1988 in honour of Marie-Louise Brugeyroux, who started her career in a one-room schoolhouse before becoming a provincial leader in the development of French as a Second Language programs and resources. The award recognizes exceptional academic achievement and excellence in practical teaching experiences for graduating Bachelor of Education students at Campus Saint-Jean, the francophone faculty of the University of Alberta.
