About this opportunity

The Lady Ryder Medical Scholarships provide five-year living cost awards for Home students studying medicine at the University of Bristol. Two awards may be available each year, providing successful applicants with a non-repayable living cost award of £7,500 per academic year for five years. The scholarship is available to students who either hold an offer to study on the MB ChB Medicine (A100) course or are currently on year zero of the MB ChB Gateway to Medicine (A108). To be eligible, applicants must be a Home/UK student, be a resident of the United Kingdom, be eligible for financial support from the UK government, and have a household income of £50,000 or less as confirmed by the Student Loans Company. Applicants must apply for means-tested support from their regional funding provider to enable household income verification, though they are not required to take out any loans they are eligible to receive. This award is funded through the generosity of the Lady Ryder of Warsaw Memorial Trust and is designed to support students from lower-income households pursuing medical education at Bristol.
