About This Opportunity
The Community Foundation for Lancashire (CFL) are pleased to open this next round of the Lancashire Red Rose Responding Fund. The overall aim of the fund is to support local charities, voluntary and community organisations that are helping vulnerable people specifically relating to mental health. The fund can consider community organisations with an income level of under £350,000 for projects that meet at least one of several priority areas including BAME Community, LGBTQ+ Community, People with Physical or Learning Difficulties, Older People experiencing social isolation, and Young People up to the Age of 25 where poor mental health is having an impact on social and educational engagement. The fund prioritises mental health support provision for people with diagnosed mental health conditions and projects that directly respond to acute need, delivered by organisations based within their local community and able to provide appropriate provision for the people they support. The fund budget is limited and focuses on helping build capacity for smaller grassroots organisations with an annual income of under £350,000. Applicants should have a demonstrable track record in delivering mental health support and be able to demonstrate delivery by trained professionals, volunteers or community workers. Grants of up to £5,000 are available, with the grants budget allowing support for approximately 12 projects. The fund will support voluntary community organisations, voluntary faith organisations, registered charities, and CICs limited by guarantee operating within Lancashire. Applications require supporting documents including governing documents, recent accounts, bank statements, trustee lists, and safeguarding policies.
