The Larry and Amanda Megan Scholarship was established in 2004 by Lawrence and Amanda Megan to support exceptional incoming students from Buffalo. This renewable scholarship is specifically designed for newly admitted freshmen from the City of Buffalo who are accepted into the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Recipients must demonstrate strong academic achievement with a high school GPA of 90% or better and an SAT score of at least 1230, along with evidence of community service involvement. The scholarship provides $1,000 annually and is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study. To maintain eligibility, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 throughout their undergraduate career. Financial need is a requirement, and applicants must complete the FAFSA to demonstrate eligibility.
