About this opportunity
The Lauder Nursing Scholarship was established through a bequest from Bruce Lauder of Timaru, in memory of his sister, Janet Lauder, who had a long career as a nurse. This scholarship supports postgraduate nursing students at Victoria University of Wellington undertaking research in public or community health. The funds are to be used to support research-related expenses or fees. Applications are considered from students in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Practice who are writing a Master's or PhD research thesis in public or community health. Preference is given to full-time students, though part-time students are also eligible. Selection is made based on academic merit and financial need, with preference potentially given to applicants of Māori or Polynesian descent.
