Laura Fraembs Excellence in Journalism Scholarship

The Laura Fraembs Excellence in Journalism Scholarship supports full-time journalism students at Eastern Illinois University who have demonstrated commitment to student journalism through service to the Daily Eastern News. This scholarship recognizes excellence in journalism while also considering financial need. Recipients must be accepted to Eastern Illinois University and have completed at least one semester as a staff member of the Daily Eastern News. The scholarship is renewable, allowing recipients to apply again in subsequent years provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria. The award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the following Fall and Spring semesters.
