Laurel Sparks Study Abroad Scholarship

The Laurel Sparks Study Abroad Scholarship supports students at North Dakota State University who are pursuing Spanish or Spanish education majors and participating in study abroad programs. The scholarship is designed to encourage international educational experiences for students majoring in Spanish or Spanish education. Applicants must be enrolled as full-time sophomores or above with a minimum GPA of 3.0, have completed or be enrolled in Spanish 312, and be participating in a department-approved study abroad program. Preference is given to students participating in their first study abroad trip. The scholarship requires submission of a one-page statement describing specific study abroad plans, how this experience relates to educational goals and future plans, along with academic references submitted to the Chair of the Department of Modern Languages.
