Laurence Decore Awards for Student Leadership

The Laurence Decore Awards for Student Leadership is awarded to Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents, or protected persons within the meaning of subsection 95 (2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) who are Alberta residents with satisfactory academic standing. Recipients must be enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. The award recognizes students for their significant involvement and leadership in student government, student societies, clubs, or organizations. This includes leadership at the institutional level as well as participation in student organizations at the provincial or national level, or involvement in non-profit community organizations. The award is funded by the Alberta Heritage Endowment Fund and aims to celebrate and support students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to leadership and community engagement during their undergraduate studies.
