About This Opportunity

The Laurie Cowled Regional Scholarship has been established for the purposes of funding a female undergraduate student relocating from a rural or regional area to undertake their studies in one of the STEM disciplines at the University of the Sunshine Coast. This scholarship will be awarded to support one recipient for the duration of their program and will be paid in instalments of A$2,500 per study period, up to a maximum of eight study periods. The scholarship is designed to assist high-achieving female students from regional or remote areas who demonstrate financial need and are pursuing undergraduate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields. Recipients must be commencing their first undergraduate program on a full-time basis and relocating to study at UniSC. The scholarship provides A$5,000 per annum for up to 6 study periods for a 3-year program (maximum A$15,000) or up to 8 study periods for a 4- or 5-year program (maximum A$20,000). This scholarship is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor.
