Lawrence and Emily Nichols Memorial Award

The Lawrence and Emily Nichols Memorial Award is a scholarship for full-time students at Eastern Illinois University majoring in U.S. or Latin American History. The award is designed to support undergraduate students at the second semester sophomore or junior class level who maintain strong academic performance in their History major. Recipients must maintain a 3.2 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale in their major coursework. Preference is given to students who are not receiving other awards, though this is not an absolute requirement. The award is renewable, meaning eligible students may apply and receive the award in multiple years provided they continue to meet all eligibility criteria. This scholarship is announced in the spring semester and awarded in the fall semester.
