Lawrence Hong Scholarship in Urban Studies

The Lawrence Hong Scholarship in Urban Studies is offered annually to honor the memory of Lawrence Hong, who was scheduled to receive a degree in Urban Studies and served as VP Finance for the Urban Studies Club and as a peer supporter for the Q-Centre. This scholarship supports continuing undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts who are majoring in Urban Studies. The award recognizes academic merit and extra-curricular activities demonstrating community service and volunteerism. Lawrence also volunteered with several organizations including the Calgary Folk Music Festival, and this scholarship continues his legacy of community engagement.
