Leadership for Social Impact Global Executive MBA Scholarship

The Leadership for Social Impact Global Executive MBA Scholarship is a tuition fee scholarship designed to support people involved in driving social change to study the Global Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Sydney Business School. The scholarship aims to enhance leadership capabilities of individuals who can demonstrate the achievement of significant social impact and an ongoing desire to improve the lives of disadvantaged Australians. The University of Sydney Business School is committed to supporting both established and emergent leaders who have demonstrated innovative ideas to create long-term social change. Social impact is defined as a significant, positive change that addresses a pressing social challenge. Recipients are ideally working in a social enterprise or as a social entrepreneur, though all applicants with a history of driving positive social change are encouraged to apply. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for the duration of the Global EMBA program, provided the student remains enrolled full-time and maintains satisfactory academic performance. Selection is based on academic merit, leadership potential, personal integrity, interview performance, a personal statement addressing selection criteria, and motivation to succeed in business in a socially responsible way. Recipients must demonstrate a commitment to apply the learning from the EMBA degree to making a positive difference in professional life and business practice. To apply, candidates must include a written statement in their Global Executive MBA application that demonstrates their history of driving positive social change and describes their vision for how the degree will result in greater social impact. The scholarship does not cover the Student Services and Amenities fee, travel costs, or relevant in-country fees for residential units of study.
