Leadership Legacy Award

The Leadership Legacy Award is awarded to a student who identifies as a woman or as non-binary with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing, indicated financial need, and demonstrated leadership, community engagement, volunteerism, and/or involvement in extracurricular activities. The award is funded by Women in Leadership, a student-led University of Alberta organization designed to provide a safe space for those who identify as women, and their allies, to share their experiences in leadership. The group uses an inclusive definition of 'women' and 'female', welcoming transwomen, genderqueer women, and non-binary individuals.
