About This Opportunity

The Leah Armstrong Scholarship program is designed to build and support a strong pipeline of educated and empowered First Nations women who are interested in working in economics, finance, business or community governance. The Scholarship honours the influence and outstanding achievements of Leah Armstrong, a Torres Strait Islander woman whose career has transformed Indigenous economic empowerment nationally through business leadership, governance excellence and long-standing advocacy for equitable participation. The Scholarship provides scholarships worth up to $20,000 per year for up to three years to First Nations women studying or looking to study at a tertiary level in a wide range of study areas, including economics, finance, business or community governance. This scholarship is specifically open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students only who identify as women and are enrolled full time at an Australian university or tertiary education institution.
