About this opportunity
The Leathersellers Awards provide financial prizes to students at University of the Arts London studying fashion bags, accessories, footwear, and artefact courses. Four separate awards are offered: the Leathersellers Emerging Talent Award (£750) for second year BA students, the Leathersellers Designer of the Year Award (£1000) for final year BA students, the Leathersellers BA Archive Award (£1500) for final year BA students in exchange for collection pieces, and the Leathersellers MA Archive Award (£2000) for final year MA students in exchange for collection pieces. Students cannot apply directly but must be nominated by their tutors based on demonstrated talent, academic merit, and commercial acumen. The awards are provided by The Leathersellers' Company, one of the ancient Livery Companies of the City of London founded in 1444, which now devotes its energies to supporting charity, education, and the British leather trade.
