About this opportunity
The LeCouteur Family Scholarship was established in 2016 to support domestic students enrolling in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of Sydney. This postgraduate coursework scholarship is valued at $6,500 per annum and is tenable for up to 4 years. The scholarship supports students who are commencing or currently enrolled full-time in the first year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program within the Sydney School of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney.
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit and a personal statement outlining the applicant's interest in specialisation in veterinary science, particularly in areas such as small animals, or specialisation through the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists or USA Specialty Colleges. Applicants must also describe how the scholarship will assist in achieving their educational and career goals.
To continue receiving the scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester and remain enrolled full-time in the eligible degree. The scholarship annual value is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients must be Australian citizens or permanent residents and be offered a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
