About this opportunity
This legacy fund is dedicated to beautifying Oslo for the benefit of the city's residents. The fund's capital returns are used for decoration and embellishment of squares, parks, and public spaces for inhabitants. The fund is not large enough to distribute money every year, and awards are only made when sufficient capital has accumulated. The fund should only be used for purposes or maintenance not covered by the city's ordinary budget, and should not replace regular public services. Previous awards include funding for an elephant statue by artist Petter Alexander Hepsøe at Vøyen bridge, completed in 2015 through a closed competition where various artists were invited.
