Lena C. McLure Music Scholarship

The Lena C. McLure Music Scholarship is awarded to a student receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Prince Edward Island who intends to pursue music education through graduate studies. This scholarship honors Miss Lena McLure, who was prominent in Island music circles as a teacher and a graduate of the Toronto Conservatory of Music who also studied at Boston University. Miss McLure also wrote a society column for The Guardian newspaper for a number of years. She left a legacy to UPEI supporting three awards, including this scholarship named in her honor.
