About This Opportunity

The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation Aviation Scholarship honors the legacy of First Officer LeRoy Homer, who was the co-pilot of United Airlines Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. The foundation empowers future aviators to pursue their dreams of flight by providing scholarships to aspiring pilots. As the foundation approaches the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, it continues to build a community of pilots who embody LeRoy's values of leadership, excellence, and service. To date, the foundation has awarded 36 scholarships to individuals pursuing aviation careers. The scholarship supports individuals who demonstrate commitment to aviation and alignment with the foundation's mission of honoring LeRoy Homer's legacy through supporting the next generation of pilots.
