About this opportunity
The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust will award bursaries of up to £3000 a year to UK university students, who are in financial need, and either work as, or whose parent or spouse works as a grocer, pharmacist or commercial traveller. Recipients can use the bursary for any reasonable costs connected with going to university, including tuition fees, accommodation costs, living expenses, or equipment to help you study.
The maximum value of any bursary is £3000 per year. However, the amount that you can receive will depend on your financial need, and the total amount of funding the Trust has available to distribute in each year.
These bursaries are open to UK resident, full-time undergraduates currently studying on a programme within the University who have a parent or spouse, or who they themselves work in the Grocery Industry, in a Community Pharmacy or as a registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, or as a Commercial Traveller. The student or family member must have worked in their position for the last 5 years.
Priority is given to students whose household income is below £50,000 and applications from students who have a household income over £90,000 will not be considered.
