About This Opportunity

The Levesque Graduate Fellowship in Human Health & Mental Health is granted to graduate students (Master/Doctoral) currently registered at UPEI and engaged in the areas of human health, including mental health research. Applications are assessed on academic standing, quality of the proposed research program, applicant's level of interest in future research, and opportunity for the applicant to conduct meaningful research in a UPEI laboratory with a designated supervisor. Recipients may receive one Levesque Fellowship in each of their Masters and PhD program(s), to a maximum of two fellowships per student. Established in 1961, the Fondation J.-Louis Lévesque has had a major impact on university teaching and research in Canada, providing tens of millions of dollars in financial aid while supporting faculty research and networking in over fifteen universities across Eastern Canada and Quebec. In 2023 the Fondation J.-Louis Lévesque broadened the areas of support to the University of Prince Edward Island to include any health-related field.
