About this opportunity
This scholarship is for students who attended Rock Island Elementary and for students whose parents or grandparents attended the school. Ms. Schuster taught 1st-3rd grades at Rock Island for 23 years, then part time for 7 more years. She loved the students, faculty, and Rock Island community.
The purpose of this scholarship is to offer encouragement and incentive to further the applicant's education in the manner of community college, university, or a skill center to enhance their post-high school experience and inspire them to become life long learners.
The scholarship emphasizes values of community, kindness, and gratitude. It aims to help students become more well-rounded individuals, secure a comfortable future, and enhance their self-worth. The award is intended to help kick-start a future that fulfills the recipients' dreams.
Eligible applicants must be graduates of Rock Island Elementary School, or the child of a Rock Island Elementary School student seeking to further their education in community college, university, or trade school.
