About This Opportunity

The Lundbeck Foundation professorship programme supports the development of a research environment centred on an internationally recognised scientist and research leader in order to advance ground-breaking research. The purpose is to support scientists qualified to the level of full professor who have demonstrated excellent research leadership and have a track record of significant achievements over the past ten years. The programme aims to make Denmark leading in neuroscience research by funding relevant biomedical, health, clinical and other sciences in Denmark. Successful applicants are expected to make significant contributions to research while developing and mentoring junior researchers. The research should be within the field of basic or clinical neuroscience, or science with clear relevance to neuroscience, with the term used in its broadest sense to include medical, technical, natural and social sciences as well as humanities. The Lundbeck Foundation Professor must be based at a non-commercial Danish research institution and is expected to spend the majority of their time on the project.
