LGBTIQA+ Leadership Bursary

The LGBTIQA+ Leadership Bursary is offered by the Sunshine Coast Pride Network in partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) to support diversity in higher education. The bursary provides financial support to LGBTIQA+ students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programs at UniSC. It is intended to recognise the efforts of current students who contribute to an inclusive culture and assist in promoting awareness and understanding of issues that may affect people of diverse genders and sexualities. First offered in Semester 2, 2019, this bursary aims to raise awareness and help members of the LGBTIQA+ community position themselves for success, transform society for the better, and enable them to be an inspiration to the generation that follows them. The bursary is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor and is awarded to one student annually.
