Lægeforeningens Forskningsfond

Lægeforeningens Forskningsfond provides funding for researchers within the medical sciences field. A portion of the funds must be used for research on Parkinson's and related diseases, cancer, kidney diseases, diabetes, Morbus Menière research, and heart diseases. Applications are made to specific legacies including Wacherhausens legat, Johs. M. Klein and wife's legacy, and Højmosegård legacy. Additionally, there is a separate pool dedicated to research on heredity in mental illnesses. The fund emphasizes support for younger researchers and clinical research. Certain expenses are not eligible for funding, including salary and transport for research subjects, PhD fees, travel and congress expenses, study visits, and publications.
