Lieberman Prize in Law and Medicine

The Lieberman Prize in Law and Medicine is awarded annually to a law student at the University of Alberta for superior academic achievement in the subject of law and medicine (LAW 531). The prize was established through endowed funds by Mr Justice SS Lieberman in memory of MI Lieberman, QC. This award recognizes excellence in the specialized field of law and medicine, a critical interdisciplinary area that bridges legal principles and medical practice. The award is merit-based and requires demonstrated superior academic performance in the specific course. If there is no suitable candidate in a given year who meets the criteria for superior achievement, the award will not be given.
