Life Saver Award

The Life Saver Award recognizes AIA members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their efforts to make an AIA sponsored event the best it can be. This award celebrates individuals who persevere when unexpected challenges threaten to derail planned events—such as freak storms, delayed flights, power outages, and other venue issues. These inspiring stories from the trenches often become the impetus for societies to create new kinds of events or remind members not to worry as intrepid volunteers will always find a way to make things work. The award is open to any AIA member who has demonstrated exceptional problem-solving and dedication in ensuring the success of AIA-sponsored activities despite unforeseen obstacles.
