Lillian R. Greathouse Scholarship

The Lillian R. Greathouse Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in career and technical education at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship is designed to support incoming freshmen, incoming transfer students, or seniors who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to teaching in career and technical education. Recipients must submit an essay addressing the characteristics of a good teacher, why they want to be a teacher, and why they specifically want to teach career and technical education. Incoming freshmen must be in the top 20% of their high school graduating class, while transfer and senior recipients must maintain an overall GPA of 2.65. The award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the Fall semester.
