About This Opportunity

The Lionel Marcellus Lonsdale Scholarship is a postgraduate research scholarship that supports students in the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney who are conducting research into diseases of domestic animals and their treatment. The scholarship was established in 1976 through a bequest from Lionel Marcellus Lonsdale. The research must be conducted in connection with the University's Veterinary Hospital and Clinic. The scholarship may be awarded as either a primary or supplementary scholarship, with the primary scholarship providing a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) rate, and the supplementary scholarship providing $10,000 per annum. The scholarship is available for up to 1.75 years for Master's by Research recipients and up to 3.5 years for PhD recipients.
