About this opportunity
The Lippert Scholarship for Women in Mathematics is an entrance scholarship valued at $5,300 awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student who identifies as a woman entering Year One of any program in the Faculty of Mathematics (excluding Software Engineering) at the University of Waterloo, wherein women are underrepresented. Selection is based on academic achievement with a minimum 80% admission average, the Admission Information Form, and contest scores as assessed through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC). Preference is given to students who demonstrate leadership potential and are committed to diversity and equity issues. This fund was created to support women in mathematics by a donation from Eric Lippert (BMath '96) and Leah Papernick. No separate application is required for this scholarship.
