Lisa Marie Valenti Memorial Scholarship

The Lisa Marie Valenti Memorial Scholarship honors Lisa Marie Valenti, who dedicated her life to helping others and thinking of others before herself. This scholarship supports full-time students at Eastern Illinois University who are graduates of Dunlap High School in Dunlap, Illinois, or if no qualified applicants, graduates from any high school in Peoria County, Illinois. Financial need is a consideration for this award. Applicants must prepare a statement describing their thoughts on the importance of helping others and putting others' needs ahead of themselves, and how their current or future career endeavors will help them accomplish this mission. The scholarship celebrates Lisa's legacy as an educator, mentor, and compassionate individual who touched countless lives through her work as an elementary school teacher and sales professional. Recipients may reapply provided they continue to meet the criteria. Awards are announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall.
