Listed Places of Worship (LPW) Grant Scheme
About This Opportunity
The Listed Places of Worship (LPW) Grant Scheme provides grants covering the VAT on repairs of over £1,000 to listed buildings used as places of worship. The scheme enables religious organisations to claim grants covering eligible VAT costs paid towards repairs and renovations. Applicants can submit one claim in any 12-month period that is less than £1,000, but more than £500. The Government has extended the scheme until 31 March 2026, with a budget of £23 million. To ensure the scheme remains within budget, a new cap limits the total amount any individual place of worship can claim to £25,000 in the year. Places of worship can make more than one claim, but the total of their claims should not exceed £25,000. Where a place of worship's VAT costs exceed the cap, they will still be able to claim up to £25,000.
