About this opportunity

The Lithgow Scholarship for Graduate Diploma in Psychology is a postgraduate coursework scholarship valued at $8,000 per annum. This scholarship was established in 2023 to support Graduate Diploma students in the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney and has been generously donated by William Lithgow. The scholarship is available to domestic students (Australian Citizens, New Zealand Citizens, or Australian Permanent Residents) who have an unconditional offer of admission to study full-time or part-time in the Graduate Diploma in Psychology within the Faculty of Science. The scholarship is tenable for one year and is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Selection is based on academic merit and a personal statement outlining the impact of a scholarship on the applicant's ability to study. Preference is given to students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, demonstrate financial hardship, have carer responsibilities, or identify as female. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
