About This Opportunity

The Live Your Dream Awards provides cash awards to women who are primary financial providers for their families and are pursuing education to improve their lives. The program offers three levels of awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, with recipients having the potential to receive up to $16,000 total. These funds can help offset tuition costs, purchase books, cover transportation, or secure reliable childcare. The awards support women enrolled in or accepted to vocational/skills training, high school equivalency, or undergraduate degree programs. Applications are accepted annually from August 1 - November 15. The program operates through a three-tiered selection process. First, local Soroptimist clubs award an average of $1,000 to their selected recipient. Each club's first-place winner then becomes eligible for region-level awards of either $3,000 or $5,000. Finally, each region's first-place recipient competes for one of three international-level awards of $10,000. The program is designed specifically for women with financial need who are motivated to achieve their education and career goals. Applicants must reside in one of Soroptimist International of the Americas' member countries/territories, which include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Guam, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Northern Mariana Islands, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan, United States of America, and Venezuela. Recipients cannot have previously received a Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Award or Live Your Dream Award, and must not hold or be pursuing a graduate degree.
