About this opportunity
The Lloy Semenyna Nursing Scholarship is offered annually to an undergraduate student entering the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary through either the Degree Holder or Transfer Route. This scholarship honors Lloy Semenyna MN '93, who was an Instructor at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Nursing from 2001-2010. The award recognizes Lloy's knowledgeable and passionate contributions to maternal and child nursing, her pragmatic approach to life and quick-witted sense of humor. The scholarship is valued at up to $1,500 and is awarded based on academic merit, specifically the admission average to the Bachelor of Nursing program. Preference is given to students whose home address is in a rural community. Recipients are selected through the Fall Undergraduate Nominated Award application process.
