About This Opportunity

The Lloyd Switzer Entrance Scholarship is an annual entrance scholarship for undergraduate students entering Year One in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Valued at up to $2,500, this scholarship recognizes outstanding academic performance and gives preference to students from Stratford and Perth County. The fund was established through a generous donation from Lloyd Switzer, a 1988 Bachelor of Mathematics graduate of the university. Recipients are selected based on academic performance and their Admission Information Form (AIF), with no separate application required. The scholarship supports students pursuing various mathematics programs including Computer Science, Honours Mathematics, Mathematics/Business Administration, Mathematics/Financial Analysis and Risk Management, Mathematics/Chartered Professional Accountancy, and double degree programs with Business Administration through Laurier.
