Den Danske Maritime Fond offers risk-willing financing to projects that promote the development of the maritime sector in Denmark. The fund provides loans to maritime startups, scaleups, and innovation projects in established companies. The goal is to strengthen Denmark's international position as a maritime nation and establish Denmark as a green and digital leader in the maritime sector. The fund primarily supports the development of innovative and future-oriented projects within the maritime industry across four key areas: revenue growth, operational optimization, climate and environment, and health, safety, and security. Applicants can receive loans of up to 50% of the start-up capital needed to realize their ideas. The loans have a repayment-free period of typically 3-4 years from the approval of the application, after which the loan must be repaid over a period of 3 years with fixed repayment installments. This financing structure is designed to support projects from their early stages and encourage risk-taking in innovative maritime ventures.
