Local Student Bursary Scheme

The Local Student Bursary Scheme is entirely funded by alumni (former Solent students), staff and friends of Solent University. The bursary provides £1,000 for one academic year only to support local students from the Southampton and Portsmouth areas who are studying full-time undergraduate courses. This bursary is designed to assist students from lower-income households who live in specific postcode areas or attend partner sixth form schools and colleges. Priority is given to those from the lowest gross household incomes, with eligibility requiring a household income of less than £25,000 per year as confirmed by Student Finance England.
