About this opportunity
The Loeb Classical Library Foundation offers two-year postdoctoral fellowships in classical studies. The fellowships are designed to support scholars who have recently completed their doctoral dissertations in any area of classical studies, including archaeology, Greek literature, and Latin literature. Fellows establish a visiting scholar relationship with an academic institution where they can best carry out their research program. The fellowship provides comprehensive financial support including an annual stipend, health benefits reimbursement, moving expenses, and a research fund. This prestigious fellowship honors James Loeb's vision to encourage special research in the province of archaeology and Greek and Latin literature, with awards granted without distinction as to sex, race, nationality, color or creed.
