About This Opportunity

The Lois Hole Humanities and Social Sciences Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate leadership and community service. This scholarship was named in honour of Lois Hole, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta from 2000 to 2005. The scholarship is available to students in their second or subsequent years of full-time post-secondary studies in the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences, or Faculty of Arts at eligible, publicly funded institutions in Alberta. Seven scholarships of $5,000 each are awarded annually on the basis of academic merit, demonstrated leadership and community service. Recipients are selected by the Student Awards Office at participating educational institutions.
