About This Opportunity

This is a means-tested bursary for residents in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets who have lived in the area for at least 3 years, unless they are refugees on the Ukraine or Afghan scheme. The bursary provides £1,500 to support undergraduate students from low-income households pursuing full-time studies at Queen Mary University of London. Applicants must be over 18 years old on 1 September 2026 and enrolled in a full-time study programme. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to their studies by maintaining at least a 95% attendance record at the end of their first term. The household annual income (excluding Housing benefit and Council tax reduction) must be below £25,000. This bursary is specifically designed to support students from the local Tower Hamlets community, helping to remove financial barriers to higher education.
