Loralee Nichols Memorial Award

The Loralee Nichols Memorial Award was established in 2014 by Kristine and Christopher Hyde in memory of Kristine's mother, and as part of Lakeland College's Centennial Campaign. This award is available to students enrolled in the Firefighter Training program at Lakeland College. Each platoon nominates one member for consideration for the award. The award recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, commitment to their chosen career in firefighting, strong character and leadership skills, and a willingness to assist and support fellow students, contributing to the success of all class members. This is a continuing award focused on Fire & Emergency Services and Leadership development.
